Introducing Valentina Ceserani, the recipient of the scholarship that #FindTheOrange has helped to fund - through the Centre for Health Technologies at the University of Pavia - in support of her PhD in Health Technologies, Bioengineering and Bioinformatics.
The aim of the research is to identify new bioengineering solutions for understanding the mechanisms of ischaemia in subjects with congenital coronary artery anomalies. Particularly in the case of young patients who engage in sporting, competitive or military activities and who generally have to endure very demanding exertion.
The PhD course, supervised by Prof. Michele Conti (CompMech group, DICAr), is part of a larger research project based on close clinical collaboration and promoted by the Ministry of Health.
Below Valentina answers some questions about her journey.
